Clax Rust 6FL1
Clax Rust 6FL1 is an alkali and iron neutralizer, based on bisulphites. These substances are mildly acidic and are applied to neutralize alkali present in rinse water and on fabric. Consequently Clax Rust 6FL1 prevents yellowing (or galling), caused by residual alkalinity on fabric. In addition it functions as an ‘anti-iron’ (reduction process) for traces of residual iron left. Accidental over-dosing of Clax Rust 6FL1 will not lead to a too low pH, and consequently the risk of fabric damage is minimal. Clax Rust 6FL1 is a laundry sour specially formulated for use in commercial and on premise laundries. This product should be applied in the last rinse to neutralize residual alkali and to reduce traces of residual iron.

How to use
- Dosing level is dependent on wash classification and alkalinity of fresh water absorbed by fabric. The neutralizer should be applied in the last rinse of a washer extractor or in the last section of a continuous batch washer. Please note that some tunnel washers have two sections for neutralization; in that case Clax Rust 6FL1 should be dosed in the penultimate section
- The last quantity of drain water coming from the washer extractor or from the press should have a pH of 6.0 - 6.5
Safety & handling
Store in original closed containers or (where applicable) in an approved bulk tank, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep away from acids. Full guidance on the handling and disposal of this product is provided in a separate Material Safety Data Sheet.
